Your server, your data

Your workspace.
Your infrastructure.

Run the workspace on your computer, office server or cloud infrastructure. Email sync connects your installation directly to Microsoft or Google. If you enable external AI, support-agent connections, webhooks or off-site storage, selected content goes to the services you configure.

Self-hosted with Docker

Windows, Linux or Mac. Guided setup covers the workspace and mailbox connection. Installation time depends on Docker, network access and your Microsoft or Google app registration.

Looks after itself

Scheduled daily backups, configurable off-site copies, a health page, collected error reports and alerts when services need attention.

Security you control

Encrypted connection tokens and two-factor sign-in support. Community also includes Microsoft sign-in, audit, retention, legal hold and password-encrypted backups. Configure HTTPS and your access policies for deployment.

Signed updates

Update tools verify release signatures, make a backup before installation and include rollback handling when an update fails.

FAQ

Questions people
ask first.

What is Eleon?

A self-hosted communication and case workspace with the full application open source. Connect Outlook or Gmail, combine related conversations on one timeline and manage the people, tasks and next steps around them. The application also includes automation, optional AI, reports, deals and supported chat integrations.

Does what I do here change Outlook or Gmail?

Supported email actions synchronize with the provider: reading, filing, drafts and sent mail, with flags, categories and folder behavior depending on the provider. Cases, internal notes and checklists stay in the workspace. Synchronization runs in the background.

Is it a ticket system?

It supports case numbers, statuses, responsible people, groups and, with Pro, reply targets and automation rules. Customers keep replying by email; no customer portal is required. A case number can appear in the subject.

Do we have to stop using Outlook?

No. Your mailbox stays with Microsoft or Google. Continue using your usual mail app alongside Eleon, while the workspace adds cases and team collaboration.

Does it work for one person?

Yes. Connect your mailbox and keep each client or project's conversations, files and next steps together. Community has no license-based user or mailbox cap, so you can also invite a team.

Where is our mail stored, and what does AI receive?

The workspace database runs on your infrastructure and synchronizes directly with your mail provider. Enabled external AI, webhooks, support-agent connections and off-site storage receive the content included in their requests. Choose a local model endpoint if that suits your deployment, or pause AI entirely.

What makes the case timeline useful?

One case can show separate customer, supplier and colleague conversations in parallel columns on one chronological axis. Selected Teams, WhatsApp and Telegram messages can join the timeline through the installed Pro modules, with case access controls.

Which features are free?

All installed Eleon functionality is included in the open-source Community build: email, cases, collaboration, optional AI, automation, reports and administration. No paid software key or trial is required. Your provider subscriptions, AI/model usage, infrastructure and optional services are separate.

Can AI send messages on its own?

The assistant prepares reply drafts for you to review and send, and proposes supported changes for confirmation. Separately, administrators can enable automation rules that send configured template replies, or group rules that automatically create cases. Choose which routines and rules are enabled.

Can we work offline or use Google Calendar?

The installable web app needs a connection to your workspace server. Calendar support currently uses Outlook; Google Calendar is not included. Some Outlook meeting and recurring-event changes must be made in Outlook.

What do we need to install it?

A Windows, Linux or macOS computer/server with Docker, sufficient memory and storage for your mailbox volume, and the relevant Microsoft or Google application registration and permissions. Guided setup explains the steps. The server must stay available for background work such as synchronization and app-managed scheduled sends.
